A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews are advising people living near Chilmington Green to keep windows and doors closed overnight due to smoke plumes in the area coming from a fire at a yard. "Firefighters created a break to prevent the fire from spreading to the field and are working to extinguish a fire involving scaffolding boards.
