A mobile air defense unmanned systems crew of Russia’s Battlegroup North’s BARS-Kursk detachment has destroyed over 30 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Sumy sector over the past month, the crew’s commander with the call sign Analitik told TASS. Over the past month, we’ve shot down about 30 enemy Chaikas and one Shark. "It’s quite a complex task, which largely depends on the pilot’s skills as well as on the radars," he said. Analitik added that using radar stations, the troops track the flight of Ukrainian UAVs, lock onto the target, and then a Russian drone approaches the target and detonates. We do not shoot down enemy drones over populated areas--we operate mainly in fields and forests, preventing them from entering the territory of the Kursk Region," the BARS-Kursk crew commander said.
