Great Western Park, a 3,300-home estate is now completed and was initially granted planning permission in 2008, with a new GP surgery included. Although the planning permission for the new surgery dates back about 10 years there have been repeated delays with the project. Woodlands Medical Centre appointed London-based Apsley Henley Med Ltd after Assura’s proposal for the new surgery building was deemed unaffordable. Thames Valley Integrated Care Board (ICB) has established a project group to oversee project delivery and keep progress on track.
