CUPE said the province plans to increase hospital funding by 3.3 per cent in 2026-27, despite annual cost increases exceeding six per cent.
The union is calling on the province to provide an additional $5 billion in hospital funding, introduce multi-year funding commitments, halt further privatization and implement nurse-to-patient staffing ratios.
