Amid delay caused by the series of litigations resulting from internal leadership crisis rocking the party, the founder of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, yesterday disclosed that the party was able to field over 90 per cent candidates of all the elective positions in the 2027 general elections nationwide. He said fielding candidates across all contestable positions did not rule out strategic alliance with political parties that have like minds and ideologies like the NNPP in 2027. “If we will ever consider zoning, it is to be when we would have won a presidential election. “NNPP members have a lot of decisions to make on some issues that we do not want to be deliberated upon by the NWC alone. Aniebonam urged members who had left the NNPP in the wake of its internal leadership crisis to return immediately ahead of replacement of place holders.
