The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has decried the high rate of abandoned projects across the country, attributing the development to alleged corruption and lack of political will by federal and state governments to complete projects initiated in the public interest. Abdullahi said the country had become a “graveyard of abandoned projects” because of corruption and political considerations, stressing that the ADC would adopt a different approach if elected into government. “Nigeria is now a graveyard of abandoned projects due to monumental corruption at various tiers of government in the country. It said The Orange Book would serve as a framework for guiding the conduct of ADC public office holders and reinforcing the party’s commitment to responsible governance. The ADC further pledged to promote transparency, accountability and continuity in public administration, stressing that public projects should not be abandoned merely because there has been a change in government or political leadership.
