Recently, a taxi driver went viral for allegedly trying to scam a foreigner who was looking for a ride from the airport. Now, said taxi driver has been penalized by the Land Transportation Office. His license has been perpetually revoked, and he has been given a lifetime ban from acquiring any type of driver’s license. LTO orders lifetime ban on scammer taxi driver’s license:The LTO initially issued a show cause order and a 90-day preventive suspension on the suspect’s driver’s license after he was accused of trying to charge P2,000 for a trip from the airport to his destination. The LTO is encouraging all commuters to promptly report any similar incidents to the agency so that violators can be penalized accordingly.
