Born in Lando, S.C., on Nov. 23, 1938, Laura was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She spent her life dedicating herself to her loved ones, her church and her passion for beautifying the world as a talented hairdresser. She was an active member of Blue Creek Baptist Church for more than 40 years, and had recently joined New Home Baptist Church in Perry. The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Laura’s remarkable life, on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church in Perry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Creek Baptist Church building fund.
