Poland has signed contracts with Boeing to establish a major maintenance and repair capability for the 96 AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters it ordered from the United States for approximately $10 billion. 1 (WZL-1) in Łódź between Boeing, WZL-1 and the Military Central Design and Technology Bureau (WCBKT). The planned center will support all 96 helicopters, enabling Poland to conduct major maintenance and repair work domestically. If successful, Polish-made systems could be incorporated into Apache maintenance and operational support. Poland formally requested 96 AH-64E helicopters from the United States in 2022.
