Taunton Town Council approved £12,508 from its 2026/27 capital projects budget for repairs to two Goodlands Gardens bridges in April 2026. The repairs follow the controversial removal of Goodlands Gardens' main footbridge in July 2024. A spokesperson for Taunton Town Council said: "Great to be working with Triangle to give Goodlands Garden Bridge some much-needed TLC. "Thanks to the team at Taunton Town Council who made this happen and to everyone else, enjoy." Plans to rebuild the main footbridge could have cost around £500,000, but they were scrapped in May this year.
