Tingwall, Whiteness and Weisdale Community Council has highlighted the problem of garden waste washing up on the shore of one of the tidal lochs in its area. The council is aware aware quite a few people empty their lawnmowers into the sea and ask that they please think about where it is going and what the effects are. The community council contacted the SIC’s environmental health team and its view was that it could potentially be classed as fly-tipping. If so, click here to submit your thoughts and they may be published in print.
