A new two-storey building is to be built at Stratford College to expand the teaching of construction skills. The £4 million investment will provide extra teaching areas for brickwork and carpentry as well as a new bricklaying workshop and space for electrical installation students. A new bricklaying workshop is planned as part of the investment. Director of estates Michelle Doughty said: “This investment will transform the learning environment at Stratford College, creating opportunities for more learners to develop the construction skills that are in growing demand.” Money for the work has been provided by the Post-16 Construction Skills Capacity Fund.
