More homes are being planned for the Bordon Hill area of Stratford with proposals for seven on the site of a long-established car sales business. The outline application, lodged on behalf of Autostop Stratford Ltd, seeks permission for six self and custom-build homes at Stratford Car Centre, together with the conversion of an existing garage into a one-bedroom bungalow. The car centre site could be used for new homes. The planning statement refers to Stratford District Council’s lack of a five-year housing supply as one of the reasons the scheme should be allowed. Another planning application, for 89 homes, has also been submitted for Bordon Hill.
