The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Maldives Business Chamber have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will create new opportunities for businesses in Sri Lanka and the Maldives to expand trade, investment, and commercial partnerships.
Wasantha Samarasinghe, Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, and H.E.
Masood Imad, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Sri Lanka.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Krishan Balendra, Chairperson of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Ahmed Amjad, President of the Maldives Business Chamber.
Sri Lanka and the Maldives share longstanding economic and people-to-people ties, with growing potential for collaboration across sectors including tourism, logistics, construction, healthcare, food and agriculture, financial services, and professional services.
