35 0Defence diplomacy remains an important pillar in strengthening international security partnerships, enhancing military capabilities and building collective responses to increasingly complex security challenges. Kenya and India continue to deepen their longstanding relations through sustained engagement focused on professional military development, technology, information sharing and cooperation in areas of mutual strategic interest. The engagement provided an opportunity to review areas of mutual security interest and explore avenues for expanding military-to-military cooperation. Discussions focused on strengthening the operational capacity of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) through joint training, intelligence and information sharing, professional exchanges and the application of emerging technologies to contemporary security challenges. Continued defence engagement provides an important platform for exchanging expertise, strengthening interoperability and developing capabilities that contribute to national and regional security.
