Weston Marine Lake was reopened to the public on May 22, 2026, following a major refurbishment programme. Weston Marine Lake is owned and managed by North Somerset Council, which is responsible for the lake, its infrastructure, maintenance and improvement projects. The council states that "anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated" at the lake site and that anyone in the area should use the public toilets located at Marine Lake. A North Somerset Council spokesperson said: “Marine Lake is for everyone to enjoy and has proved extremely popular during this spell of continuing hot weather. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, please use the public toilets located at Marine Lake and please clean up after your dog to ensure Marine Lake continues to be a location for everyone to enjoy.”
