Letter: The Grove Park restoration has brought major improvements
[]
Weston Mercury | News
I was delighted to read in last week’s Weston Mercury how North Somerset Council has completed a major improvement scheme at Grove Park in Weston-super-Mare’s lovely, colourful town-centre park, including new toilet facilities, an upgraded entrance, and landscaping enhancements.
As you enter the park, you can now see the attractive Grade II-listed Victorian bandstand and the tower of St John the Baptist Church, which is a breath of fresh air for residents and visitors who love our town of Weston-super-Mare.
I thought the new public toilets were out of this world and a great transformation from the former 1960s toilet building, which was sadly vandalised.
I am sure that North Somerset Council’s major improvement scheme at Grove Park, giving it a new lease of life with its green open space, will further enhance the quality of life and leisure for both visitors and residents for generations to come.
In my book, it is just what the doctor ordered.
