Jo Bailey, 65, raised more than £3,500 through her Paloma Ascension Challenge during the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta on Friday, August 7.
A former hot air balloon pilot, she completed 68 tethered hopper balloon ascents in one hour, surpassing the previous world record.
Through her achievement, she aimed to raise awareness about living with a stoma and to support two charities, Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Crohn's & Colitis UK, with donations still being welcomed via justgiving.com/page/jo-bailey-2.
Following her time in hospital, Ms Bailey took part in Southmead Hospital's ICU Pathway Programme, which supports recovery for former intensive care patients.
Sarah Pryer, director of fundraising and marketing at Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity, has praised Ms Bailey's efforts, saying: "We're incredibly grateful to Jo for sharing her story and taking on this remarkable feat.
