The event saw a strong turnout across various competitive categories, with over 1,000 entries in the children's, horse and pony, and industrial sections alone. Other sections of the show included sheep, a dog show, horticulture and floral art, and wood turning and carving. Judge Stephen Dodsworth selected the champion, with a Texel gimmer from Harry Askwith named Reserve Champion. The show also featured a heavy horse driving display by Katie Willey and Matt (horse). The Cumberland & Westmorland wrestlers travelled to Slaley from the Dalton Show in Cumbria, with plenty of spectator participation.
