NET Web DeskA counter-blockade and shutdown imposed at Litan in Manipur’s Ukhrul district have been lifted following talks between the Kuki Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Working Committee, Ukhrul, and representatives of the state government. The development has paved the way for the movement of around 460 trucks that had remained stranded at Litan for nearly a month. Radheshyam, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, P. Brojen, K. Robindro and L. Rameshwar Meitei. The stranded drivers expressed gratitude to the Manipur government and the Kuki CSO Working Committee, Ukhrul, for their efforts to facilitate the resumption of vehicular movement. The reopening of the route is also expected to improve the movement of essential commodities towards Imphal after the prolonged disruption.
