A vacant shop unit in a Moray town centre is set to be transformed into a new café after plans were approved.
The change of use at 29 West Church Street in Buckie will see the property converted from retail use to a café serving food and drink.
The property is surrounded by existing retail premises, cafés and residential properties.
Moray Council planning officials said the proposed café use would be welcomed in the town centre, stating that it would be expected to attract significant footfall.
Bringing the vacant unit back into use was also highlighted as a positive aspect of the proposal, with officials stating that it would help boost the “vitality and viability” of Buckie town centre.
