The victory marked Venezuela’s third ever gold medal in men’s soccer at the Central American and Caribbean Games. Following the strong performance, the country’s best in eight years, Venezuela is set to host the XXVI Central American and Caribbean Games in 2030. Venezuelan athletes will next represent the national tricolor flag at the upcoming South American Games in Argentina starting on September 12.
