The event will celebrate those who worked on the landmark Ptarmigan programme, centred at Plessey Defence Systems in Christchurch, and will take place on Friday, October 23, at Barton-on-Sea.
Ptarmigan was a landmark communications system developed for the British Army from the mid-1970s onward.
Peter Venton, former chief executive of Plessey, said: "Ptarmigan was one of those rare programmes where innovation, engineering excellence and a deep sense of shared purpose came together.
Centred at Plessey’s Christchurch site, Ptarmigan played a vital role in shaping modern communications technologies.
The lunch will offer former staff an opportunity to reconnect, share memories and reflect on the lasting impact of the Ptarmigan project and its role in British communications history.
