The move comes as part of Andy Burnham’s measures to address the spread of certain businesses and improve town centre areas. Tom Hayes, the Labour MP for Bournemouth East, said: "Andy Burnham’s first steps will help our high streets. "Stopping gambling and vape shops from dominating our high streets is good news. The plans will also close a loophole that previously allowed some shops selling vapes to operate as convenience stores, helping target those whose primary purpose is selling vaping products. The steps are part of a wider strategy to rejuvenate high streets and give communities greater control over their local environment.
