A New Boston man is dead after deputies and other law enforcement officers responded to a reported stabbing and assault Saturday morning. According to the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 9:33 AM Saturday, August 8, to County Road 3103 near U.S. Highway 82 in New Boston. The homeowner reportedly armed himself and intervened, holding the suspect at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived.
