…Emphasizes campus security, Safe Schools InitiativeBy Adesina WahabThe National Vice President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Nanchang Peter Timloh, has outlined his vision for Nigerian students, saying student welfare and advocacy will top his list of priorities. This is just as he emphasised the need for a safe and secure environment on campuses for teaching and learning to take place. In a statement he endorsed, he said his belief is in student-centred agenda that would promote the welfare, development, unity, security, and educational advancement of Nigerian students. “My key priorities are: Student Welfare and Advocacy which will make me to champion policies and programmes that will improve the welfare and living conditions of Nigerian students and ensure that their voices are heard at all levels. “Scholarships, Grants and Financial Support: This is to facilitate greater access to scholarships, bursaries, grants, and other financial assistance programmes for Nigerian students.
