Aaron Donnelly is free to play for Dunfermline this weekend, despite having turned out already for Dundee in the Premier Sports Cup. The defender joined the Pars on a season-long loan ahead of the kick-off to the Championship campaign. Traditionally in the past, Donnelly would have been precluded from playing against Ross County this weekend. However, following a rule change in recent years, current SPFL regulations mean the Northern Irishman is OK for selection against County. Donnelly was part of a new-look Dunfermline defence against Ayr at the weekend, playing in the middle of a three-man unit between Dundee United loan youngster Sam Cleall-Harding and former St Johnstone loanee Luke Robinson.
