Former Dundee United youngster Brandon Forbes has returned to Scottish football after being released by Norwich City. Forbes, 20, enjoyed a blockbuster start to his Tangerines career during the Premier Sports Cup group phase of 2024, firing home a 30-yard stunner to see off Ayr United. Forbes had loan spells with Tamworth and King’s Lynn but ultimately failed to make a first-team appearance for Norwich. He was released by the Canaries, now managed by ex-Rangers boss Philippe Clement, earlier this summer. But Forbes penned a one-year contract with Alloa Athletic on Tuesday evening and went straight into the matchday squad for their KDM Evolution Trophy fixture against Stranraer.
