The status yellow warning is in place as temperatures are expected to hit 27 degrees, and up to 29 degrees in some places. ‌Met Eireann said that top temperatures will range 23 to 29 degrees generally today and be hottest in Leinster. Highest temperatures will range from around 15 degrees in the northwest to 21 degrees in the southeast under a light to moderate west to northwest breeze.
