The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Business School will hold a three-day workshop in September to examine strategies for driving sustainable economic transformation in Nigeria through innovative governance, strategic leadership and institutional reform. The workshop, scheduled for September 2 to 4, 2026, in Port Harcourt, is themed, “Advancing Sustainable Economic Transformation: A Look at Innovative Governance and Strategic Leadership.” Peterside is also expected to address business process re-engineering, strategic institutional reform and scalable models for improving organisational and economic performance. Professor Uche Uwaleke, Nigeria’s first Professor of Capital Market, will examine the role of investment frameworks and financial-sector deepening in financing sustainable economic transformation. The organisers said the workshop would provide a platform for linking academic research, public policy, business practice and leadership in developing practical responses to Nigeria’s economic challenges.
