Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan discussed prospects for deepening their strategic partnership and alliance during a meeting between senior officials from the two countries, with preparations for upcoming high-level engagements also on the agenda. This was stated by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs following a meeting between Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Bobur Usmanov and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Rashad Mammadov on August 11. “The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Azerbaijani strategic partnership and alliance relations,” Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry said. The sides reaffirmed their interest in maintaining close dialogue and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of their strategic partnership and alliance.
