The Upper West Regional Police Command has busted an armed robbery syndicate operating in parts of the Wa West District and Wa Municipality. In a statement signed by Francis Yiribaare, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Upper West Regional Police Commander, he said the six suspects have been arrested following months of intelligence-led and coordinated operations by the Police. Nasiru Abdul Rahman sustained injuries during the operation and died upon arrival at the Upper West Regional Hospital. An additional GH¢3,274 was reportedly siphoned through the victims’ MoMo accounts. The Upper West Regional Police Command says it has intensified efforts to locate and arrest the two wanted suspects.
