Blackburn man denies string of violent offences including false imprisonment

Callum Roberts, 24, of Abraham Street, appeared before Preston Crown Court, charged with one count of false imprisonment, one count of threats to kill, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, one count of theft from a person and one count of criminal damage.
The allegations relate to an incident on July 11, with the theft said to involve a black iPhone and car keys.
Roberts denied all the charges and will go to trial on January 11, which is expected to last three days.
A pre-trial review has been set for November 16 and the defendant has been remanded in custody.
