ADB launches capital market development project with Azerbaijan's participation

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has launched a capital market development project with the participation of Azerbaijan.
According to ADB information, the program covers 43 countries and economies in the Asia-Pacific region, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
According to ADB information, from 2015 through 2024, Azerbaijan received $2.53 billion in sovereign financing for 10 projects.
Another 39% accounted for private sector development, 18% climate finance, and 10% digital technology initiatives.
From 2015 through 2024, the bank approved nine non-sovereign projects totaling $963.9 million, with 100% of the financing directed toward private sector development.
