Judge Dodd, sentencing, said the victim in the case repeatedly told Partridge she did not want to have sex with him but that he did not listen. She also said Partridge had been drinking since earlier in the morning, having committed the offence late at night. Partridge was sentenced to four years in prison, of which he will have to serve at least two-thirds.
