Marie Derbyshire, 47, of Holcombe Drive, appeared before Blackburn Magistrates' Court for sentencing on August 5. Magistrates imposed a total sentence of 43 weeks' imprisonment, suspended for 12 months. She was also ordered to pay compensation to victims and retailers, including payments of £50, £43.50, £21.30, £10.15, £8.33 and £5.16. In addition, a quantity of methadone was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Several charges were withdrawn, while other offences attracted no separate penalty.
