East Lancashire man who stole £3,000 worth of jewellery sentenced

Sturon Thorne, of Pilgrim Street, Nelson, admitted theft in a dwelling when he appeared before Preston Magistrates' Court.
The 45-year-old stole a collection of jewellery worth around £3,000 from a property in Fleetwood on August 1, 2025.
The items taken included a Pandora bracelet with 13 charms, a gold bracelet, a man's gold wedding band, a gold cross with diamonds, a clown charm, a gold locket and a gold ring.
Thorne was sentenced on August 5 to 16 weeks in prison.
Magistrates also ordered him to pay £500 compensation and imposed a restraining order lasting one year.
