Police.uk data shows 3,650 violence and sexual offences were recorded across the borough between January and June. The figures show violence and sexual offences climbed steadily through the spring before reaching a peak of 773 offences in May. (Image: Copolit/NQ)June also remained unusually high, with 666 offences recorded. While fewer offences were recorded overall, largely because anti-social behaviour reports dropped sharply, a number of categories linked to violence and disorder increased. Violence and sexual offences are now running at their highest level for the first six months of any year covered by the data.
