Of the total debt, Rp8,966.7 trillion came from SBN, while the remaining Rp1,326.90 trillion consisted of domestic and foreign loans. Under Indonesia’s State Finance Law, government debt is capped at 60 percent of GDP. The government has set a target of Rp832.2 trillion in new debt issuance under this year’s state budget, or APBN. Debt Financing Remains on TrackThe Finance Ministry said debt financing remained on track through anticipatory measures and active cash and debt management. Debt financing is also being used to cover the state budget deficit, which is projected at Rp689 trillion this year.
