San Marcos girls flag football kicked off its season in grand fashion, rolling to a 33-0 victory over Lompoc High on Tuesday at Warkentin Stadium. The Royals’ defense was on fire from start to finish, recording the shutout with Piper Kittle, Cami Weiss and Bella Bazylewicz hauling in interceptions. Meanwhile, Victoria Aldana led a potent offensive attack with 169 total yards of offense and four passing touchdowns. Aldana tossed a pair of those touchdowns to Bazylewicz, with the other two going to Kittle and Scarlett Holian. San Marcos (1-0) will have a quick turnaround as it hosts Palos Verdes on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
