Spread the wordThe Delta State Government has concluded its 3-day Economic and Investment Summit in Asaba, where it renewed push to attract local and foreign investment as a way of reducing dependence on federal allocations. At the summit with the theme “Harnessing Our Strengths, Unlocking Our Potential” were policymakers, business investors, and development partners. The state Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, while declaring the programme open, said, “Delta remains a platform and destination for investors, whether large, medium, or small-scale.” Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, while dwelling further called on Deltans, saying that local businesses must move beyond speeches and become active investors. According to him, Africa’s economic transformation will depend largely on visionary leadership and self-reliance, urging Delta to position itself within that broader continental agenda.
