Still, a majority think the 10-year yield will likely exceed their predictions in three months, rather than fall short of them. A sustained selloff in U.S. Treasuries has pushed the benchmark yield up about 80 basis points since the U.S.-Iran war began in late February. The rise in oil prices has heightened worries that already-elevated inflation will stay well above the Fed’s 2% target.
