People across Nottinghamshire will benefit from improved access to mental health support, with new Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust facilities set to provide earlier help and specialist care closer to home.
The new service will help people get support earlier before problems escalate, while also providing specialist care for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
The investment will see new community mental health centres and dedicated mental health emergency departments created across England, helping to reduce pressure on busy A&E departments and ensuring people receive care in the right setting.
James Naish, MP for Rushcliffe, said:“Everyone deserves access to good quality mental health support, wherever they live.
The new facilities form part of a wider expansion of mental health services, with the first sites expected to open from autumn 2026 and further locations opening from 2027.
