Forest beat officer electrocuted by electric trap set by hunters in Kothagudem’s BurgampadKothagudem: A forest beat officer (FBO) was electrocuted allegedly by an electric trap set up by hunters to kill wild animals in Burgampad mandal in the district. The deceased beat officer, Bhukya Naveen Naik, aged around 45 years, was attached to Cheruvusingaram (west) beat in Paloncha forest range. It was said that while inspecting the area the beat officer accidentally came in contact with the live electric trap and fell unconscious. Efforts were on to identify and catch the persons who set up the electric trap.
