Speaking as initial returns showed him trailing opponent Lisa Demuth, Lindell compared his situation to past high-profile races.
At the end of the night, Lindell trailed Lisa Demuth by 45,000 votes.

“I give them my ID, and they go, ‘No, no, no, you don’t have to show an ID,’” Lindell said.
