Gloversville residents voice concerns over uptick in juvenile violence

GLOVERSVILLE, NY (WNYT) – After the City of Gloversville said 6 juveniles were taken into custody over the weekend at Railfest, Gloversville residents packed the common council meeting at City Hall Tuesday night to voice their concerns.
NewsChannel 13 spoke with former Gloversville Mayor Dayton King who at tonight’s meeting.
He didn’t use those words, but I think that’s what people heard,” King said.
Gloversville Mayor Gary Antonucci said he didn’t want to change the rules of tonight’s public session so he could prevent a screaming match.
Mayor Antonucci said the city’s plan to combat juvenile violence is in its early stages and said this is something that’s not going to happen overnight.
