Bhadradri Kothagudem: Cherla West Forest Beat Officer Bhanothu Naveen (30) died after coming into contact with a live electric wire allegedly laid by unidentified persons to trap wild boars at Nakiripeta in Burgampahad mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district on Tuesday night.
Forest personnel had gone to the area following information that some persons were allegedly hunting wild boars using live electric wires.
During the operation, Naveen accidentally came into contact with the live wire and fell unconscious.
Naveen was a native of Venkatya Thanda in Karepally mandal of Khammam district.
Police have launched an investigation to identify those responsible for laying the live electric wire.
