Soft Shot was a tough act winning $25,000 OpenPlainville, MA — After two narrow misses in sub-1:50 miles in her most recent outings at Plainridge Park, Soft Shot threw the mile of her life while winning the $25,000 Open pace for harness racing fillies and mares on Tuesday (Aug. 11) afternoon.
But the change in command would only be short as Randall came right back with Soft Shot to re-establish control before the :54.4 half.
As the race entered the far turn, Soft Shot had rebuffed Sweet Hayley Jane A and opened up a three length advantage.
