TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Iran's parliament is preparing a bill on the Strait of Hormuz that would ban military and commercial vessels from countries deemed "hostile" from entering the Gulf without Tehran's permission.
He said the plan aims to strengthen Iran's authority and control over the Strait of Hormuz, as quoted by ANTARA.
The situation in the region has remained tense since the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran began in late February.
Meanwhile, the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz continues to disrupt the global energy supply chain.
