Premier League clubs are cracking down on ticket misuse but long-standing season ticket holders, who have long shared log-ins and built networks to help each other buy tickets, feel unfairly targeted.
Fans face a 12-month ban and loss of their season ticket for “ticket misuse or unauthorised transfer” – the same punishment applied to sexual misconduct, violent behaviour, criminal activity and possession of illegal substances.
The club told fans they are making “continued efforts to tackle ticket touting and misuse”.
“One of the more interesting trends is just how international this has become and how it’s climbed the ranks as an international sport.
